My Slacker Experiment

Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything up here. My computer took a trip to Kentucky but now it's home again.

I'm in the process of conducting an experiment. The experiment is entitled, "Examining a Law School Education: The Correlation of Class and Exam Preparation to Final Performance," but you can just call it "What happens to your Law School grades when you put forth as little effort as possible?" This semester I quit reading for half my classes, read sporadically for the others, took naps regularly in one, and did other work in two. I probably spent less than five total hours on homework altogether. Now it's exam time, which for 3 of my 4 classes is going to be the sole determining factor for my grade. And what am I doing to prepare? Well today I went to the zoo. Yesterday I laid out by the pool.

Don't get me wrong, I'm going put at least one day of study time in for each class to avoid anything completely disastrous. But for those of you who don't know, it's practically impossible to fail out of law school because everything is graded on a curve. So to get an F, which I have yet to see on the grading distribution list, you have to not only be dumber than the other 80 people in the class, but you have to be a good bit dumber. I really hope that's not me.

Last semester I tried to see what happened if I tried really hard (as opposed to just making an effort). My grades went down. So this semester, I'm going in a different direction. I'll let you know the results by the end of May. Could be interesting. :)

Due to my lack of anything interesting to say lately, I've resorted to just posting pictures. Here is my niece Raylin in her Easter dress. She didn't see the rabbit (which is real) sitting in the chair with her at this point. However, shortly after the picture was taken, the rabbit moved and Raylin decided to pick it up by its ears. She's mean but oh so cute. Posted by Hello
